Safeguard S80 is a two layer polyester laminate 8 mil (.008”)  that provides moderate resistance to forced entry since it has both a low tear resistance and break strength. It is primarily used as a security film to hold glass together in the case of breakage. This  clear, single-layer polyester film also has a special thicker adhesive to hold broken glass together.
